A Barbershop Tag for Barton F. Graf 9000, LLC

Good luck Barney!!!!!

This tag is a modified version of “It’s a grand night for singing”. Vance Perry has a version of the tag over on his channel here, or you can see the full song here.

I like the song a lot and I’ve performed it before, so when Barton F. Graf 9000 approached me about doing this tag it was a good fit.

I didn’t get the video and audio perfectly synced, so sorry for that.

If you have a need for some kind of custom barbershop video, I’m open to it. Send me a message with details and I’ll consider it.

The Nashville Singers – Wait Till the Sun Shines Nellie – barbershop quartet

The barbershop quartet The Nashville Singers sing a classic barbershop tune, Wait Till The Sun Shines, Nellie, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, April 2010. It’s slightly modified from how it appears in the pole cat book, but only slightly. They won the DIX district competition in 2008 singing nothing but pole cat songs, and after hearing this I can see why. They knocked it out of the park!

You should recognize the tenor, Rick Spencer, from my video of Redline singing “Wonderful Tonight”. Redline is no longer together and this is Rick’s new quartet. They have already qualified for International, winning the DIX prelims in March and are ranked in top ten going into the contest!

Multitrack Barbershop Tag – Sleepytime Down South

I’m back with another Multitrack Barbershop Tag! This is one of my all-time favorite barbershop tags and this video has turned out to be my most popular tag yet. It’s a great one for beginners because the lead only has two notes, the tenor isn’t very high and the bass isn’t very low. I’m not sure I got the video sync’d correctly, and I added some EQ, compression, and reverb but no pitch correction of any kind.

Redline Barbershop Quartet singing Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight

The barbershop quartet Redline singing Rick Spenser’s arrangement of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight. This was recorded at the afterglow of the Plymouth, WI barbershop chorus show in 2009. Redline is no longer together, and this was one of their final performances. Enjoy!

16 tons – Crossroads Barbershop Quartet

The barbershop quartet Crossroads singing the classic soul tune 16 tons. Jim Henry has a lot of power and it really comes through in this performance! My favorite part is right at 2:34.

Crossroads went on to take gold at the inernational Barbershop convention that year, making them the best barbershop quartet in the world. Check them out at http://www.crossroadsquartet.com/

Multitrack Barbershop Tag – Fall Down

This is a tag that I wrote both the music and the words for. It’s dirty and has a big chromatic walk that is freakin’ hard to tune, but sounds sweet when it resolves. I’m not much of a bass, and you’ll hear that at the end because I can’t hit that bass note very well.

As far as audio processing, I added compression, EQ, and a touch of reverb, but not any pitch changing of any kind. So all the tuning is pure me (for better or worse).

I reserve my copyrights on this, but please feel free to sing it and teach it to people as long as you are not getting paid. If you ARE getting paid then contact me and we’ll work something out.

Multitrack Barbershop Tag – In Dixie Land

This is a short tutorial to teach you how to sing a barbershop tag! I don’t know who wrote it, or where it came from, but hopefully you find it useful!
